Just before the descent towards Svorkmo. One of the many small farms where farming ceased when there were too few resources to give a viable⁄reasonable income. At the same time there were better possibilities for other employment than farming from the 1970's and 80's. The ground was often rented out to neighbours. We may hope that someone will be interested in using the houses as dwellings or holiday homes so that in future there may be lighted windows once again in the countryside. EP0705

The site of the original church. On the memorial column it says "Løkken Copper Works Miners Kirk at the place of Svorkmoe Smelters 1675–1816. This stone was raised 28–8–1938 by Orkla Mining A⁄B and the people of Orkland". EP0705

On the noticeboard we can read: "Svorkmo Smelting Works. Smelted ore for Løkken Copper works in the years 1655–1845. The chimney was reconstructed in 1951 by Orkla Mines A⁄B".  The milestone "61km to Nidaros" shows that only 2 or 3 days' of travelling remain. EP0705
